On November 7, the first students’ Research Forum themed “To Realize Dreams through Research and Shape the Future with Technology” held by the school of science came to an end.
The forum was divided into two parts, namely, the academic exchange session and lab recruitment session.
In the academic exchange session, nine undergraduate students presented academic reports about their latest research progress and results, and discussed problems that arose from their research with teachers at present. Their reports were evaluated, and Zhang Rui from the physics group and Hu Zheng from the chemistry group won the first prize.
The lab recruitment session served as a platform for different research teams and labs to recruit undergraduates. “It is more of a two-way selection,” Wang Yong, Vice Dean of the school said, “The labs and research groups used exhibition booths to introduce their research interests and accomplishments, talked with students who were willing to join them and selected the most suitable ones.”
More than one hundred undergraduate students attended the recruitment session and chose their favorite lab.
