The 2nd Double Selection of Research Group themed "Scientific Research Makes Dream Possible" was successfully held recently. It aimed to create a strong scientific research atmosphere, improve the quality of students, attract undergraduates' interests in the laboratory, and cultivate their entrepreneurship. There were 18 research groups in the School of Science. More than 100 undergraduates took part in this activity.

In the beginning, Liu Changlong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Science, delivered a speech. He emphasized that We hope students can join the research group to have a deep understanding of scientific research, and combine the knowledge with practice. This forum not only builds a communicative platform for students and teachers but also an important measure made by the school. He also put forward the following requirements for students: Firstly, study hard and strengthen understanding of the subjects through exchanges with the teachers and students in research group. Secondly, make the right choice and cherish the opportunity to find the favourite scientific research direction. Thirdly, be diligent in both thinking and practice.

Then, the 18 groups introduced the scientific background, faculty, current research direction, recent achievements, and cooperation with other universities respectively. And they encouraged students to join groups to strengthen their understanding of research groups.

The last was the double selection. Students chose their favourite research project, communicated with teachers, and showed their interests and questions. They were welcomed to join the groups to conduct scientific research. Finally, many students joined the research groups. The activity concluded with a perfect ending.
